Leadership Development
+ Team Coaching

Building the human capacity to meet the changing demands of work.

Angie Callen, The Modern Coach

WHAT GOT YOUR TEAM HERE WON'T GET THEM WHERE YOU NEED TO GO.

Growth changes what you need from your leaders and teams. New technology changes how teams work while greater complexity puts pressure on communication, decision-making, trust, and accountability.

The requirements of work continue to change. Human capacity doesn’t automatically keep pace.

That’s where leadership development and team coaching come in.

We help leaders and teams build the capacity to meet changing demands — strengthening the communication, connection, judgment, trust, and leadership required to do the work well.

Sometimes that means developing stronger leaders. Sometimes it’s helping a team communicate better, navigate conflict, make better decisions, or operate differently together.

That’s Engineering Human Potential: understanding what we’re asking people to do, what that requires from them, and building the human capacity and conditions to do it well.

What We Offer:

  • Leadership Development
Customized development for leaders and leadership teams navigating greater responsibility, growth, change, and complexity.
  • Team Coaching + Development
Ongoing work with intact teams focused on trust, communication, conflict, alignment, and the dynamics that determine whether a group performs or just coexists.
  • Looking for an offsite, retreat, workshop, or keynote? Start with [Retreats + Offsites] or [Speaking + Facilitation].

No Cookie-Cutter Curriculum Here

Leadership development and team coaching built specifically for the humans doing the work.

As a former engineer who loves people (which is why there’s the word former before engineer), I believe the best leadership development starts by understanding the system around the humans we’re asking to develop.

That’s why every engagement begins with discovery: what’s changing, what are you asking your leaders or team to do differently, what’s getting in the way, and what would better actually look like?

From there, we build the engagement around your people, culture, challenges, and goals — not a curriculum we decided you needed before we met you.

Core themes we explore:

  • What are we asking our leaders and teams to do differently?
  • What would success look like six months from now?
  • What’s getting in the way today?
  • How do we make this genuinely valuable to the people involved rather than another required “team thing”?

We don’t do box-checking.

We do strategy, connection, and results.

Let's Build Something that Lasts

Angie M. Callen, PCC
Founder and Principal

Angie Callen is a former civil engineer who made a hard left turn into people — and never looked back. Today, she applies an engineer’s thinking to human systems, helping leaders and teams build the capacity to meet changing demands without losing sight of the humans doing the work. She calls it Engineering Human Potential.

She’s the person leaders call when the stakes are high, the situation is complex, and they need someone in the room who will tell them the truth. Her clients include senior leaders rebuilding teams and culture, executive teams heading into planning or change, and organizations at growth inflection points where informal systems have stopped working.

She’s direct, she’s strategic, and she’s not interested in check-the-box coaching. She’s interested in you, the human, and what actually moves the needle for you.

Pricing for leadership and team facilitation depends on the size, scope, and goals of the engagement.

Whether you’re trying to solve a specific leadership challenge or thinking more broadly about how to develop your leaders and teams, let’s start with a conversation.

This initial conversation is totally free and intended for us to get to know each other, human to human, to see if we’re the right fit for your organization.

Let’s chat.
