Hi, I’m Angie Callen, the aforementioned human behind The Modern Coach.
I’m a former engineer who loves people (yes, really), and I’m obsessed with helping you live up to your potential.
In a world that accepts mediocrity and professional dissatisfaction, I engineer human potential. That means creating the conditions where people, teams, and organizations connect, grow, and get the most out of their collective experience.
I built my first business, Career Benders, an internationally recognized coaching firm, while living in a DIY converted school bus.
Since then, I’ve mentored thousands of professionals, from job seekers and executive leaders to fellow coaches, and I’ve spoken on stages around the world.
Along the way, I realized:

Why The Modern Coach?
Work has gotten faster, more automated, and harder to navigate, and that’s not going to change. There has never been a more complex time to be a leader, and unfortunately, training, development, and support for that reality haven’t kept up.
Executives get frameworks instead of someone who’ll tell them the truth. Teams get a workshop that’s forgotten by Friday, and coaches get certifications that teach theory but never prepare them to actually deliver for a client.
No one is short on content. What’s missing is the person in the room who understands that humans are still our greatest assets.
